Solar activity has been low, no C-class flares in past 24h. Several ARs (especially NOAA ARs 1686 and 1689) have potential for C-class flaring, and 1686 has still low chances of producing M-class flares as it rotates over the west limb. A backsided halo CME was seen leaving the Sun on March 6 at 09:24 UT, and two slow west limb CMEs were also detected. None of these CMEs are expected to affect the Earth. Geomagnetic conditions have been quiet, a fast solar wind stream from a coronal hole may still arrive today, causing unsettled to active conditions.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 041, based on 04 stations.
