Bulletin

The visible side of the solar disc is spotless. There were no C-class or even B-class flares reported during more than a week. We expect such a low level of the flaring activity to persist in the coming hours. There were no Earth directed CMEs reported during last 24 hours and the solar protons remained at the background level.

The Earth is presently inside the slow solar wind with the speed of about 380 km/s and the interplanetary magnetic field magnitude amounts about 4 nT. The fast solar wind associated with the negative polarity equatorial coronal hole, which reached central meridian in the early morning of April 28, is expected to arrive to the Earth on May 02. The geomagnetic conditions are presently quiet to unsettled (around midnight of April 28, local station at Dourbes reported K=3 and NOAA reported only Kp=2), and we expect such a geomagnetic conditions to continue in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 22 stations.
