NOAA AR 1654 still has the potential for M class flares in the coming 48 hours, with a slight risk for an X flare; we therefore forecast active conditions for solar activity. An M 1.0 flare occurred on Jan. 11, in this region, at 1507 UT (peak time). So far, no Earth-directed CME, related to this region's flaring activity can be observed. However warning conditions are issued for the geomagnetic activity. Current conditions are quiet.
