Solar flaring activity was at very low levels. No significant flares have been recorded. AR12767 Hsx/alpha, SC25 polarity, appeared at S22E72. It was not presented on the disk the previous rotation. Solar activity is expected to remain at low levels.
No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) were observed in the available coronagraphic imagery.
The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels the past 24 hours. It is expected to remain so in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at background to moderate levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to remain so for the next 24 hours.
The solar wind speed near Earth varied between 280 and 365km/s (DSCOVR+ACE). The polarity of the Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) was predominantly oriented away the Sun (phi angle in the positive sector), with some variations to the negative sector. Bz fluctuated between -4 and +3 nT. The magnitude of the magnetic field varied between 1 and 5 nT. For the next 24 hours the solar wind speed is expected to remain in those levels for the majority of the time, before it starts to gradual enhance, as a possible response to the coronal hole that crossed central meridian on July 19th.
The geomagnetic conditions were quiet to unsettled. The values registered for the past 24 hours were 0-3 for K Dourbes and 0-1 for NOAA Kp. Quiet to unsettled (K Dourbes = 3) geomagnetic conditions are expected for the next 24 hours.
