Solar activity was at very low levels and is expected to remain so.
No Earth-directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) were observed in the available coronagraphic imagery.
The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels over the past 24 hours. It is expected to stay at background levels for the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was above the threshold value of 1000 pfu for the first half of the reporting period, with a maximum value of 15300 pfu reached at 15:15 UT Sep 04. It is expected to gradually decrease but will still reach high levels during the coming days.
The solar wind speed varied between 380 and 430 km/s over the period. The total magnetic field fluctuated around 5nT. Bz was mostly negative with a minimum value of -5 nT. The interplanetary magnetic field was predominantly directed away from the Sun (phi angle in the positive sector). The solar wind parameters are expected to be at background levels over the coming days.
Geomagnetic conditions were quiet to unsettled (K Dourbes and NOAA Kp recorded values of 0-3 and 1-3, respectively). Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be quiet over the next 24 hours with isolated unsettled periods possible.
