Solar X-ray flux remained below B level throughout the period. There are now two spotted regions in the Southern hemisphere. Both are simple bipolar regions. Overall chances for flaring at C level are very low.
A filament erupted from the South-Western quadrant starting around 21:18 UT as visible in SDO/AIA 304 images. Coronagraph images however, so not show any sign of a possible associated Coronal Mass Ejection.
No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CME's) have been observed in coronagraph data.
The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels in the past 24 hours, and is expected to remain so in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is at enhanced levels reaching to just below the 10^3 pfu event threshold at its diurnal maximum. The electron flux is expected to show a slow decrease over the next days.
Solar wind conditions were nominal. Solar wind decreased from above 350 km/s towards 315 km/s by the end of the period. Total magnetic field was below 4nT with a variable Bz component. The phi angle was mostly in the negative (towards the Sun) sector but was somewhat variable. Solar wind conditions are expected to be nominal over the next days.
Geomagnetic conditions were quiet (NOAA Kp 0-1 and local K Dourbes 0-2). Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be quiet in the next 48 hours.
