Solar activity has been very low over the past 24 hours. Catania region 7 (NOAA AR 12833) is rotating on the western solar hemisphere. A northern and a southern spotless region are present on the eastern hemisphere. The solar activity is expected to remain at low levels, with a small change of C class flares over the next 24 hours.
No Earth-directed coronal mass ejections have been confirmed in the available coronagraphic imagery.
The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels in the past 24 hours, and is expected to stay at nominal levels in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was below the 1000 pfu threshold in the past 24 hours and is expected to remain so during the next 24 hours. The 24h electron fluence was at normal levels in the last 24 hours and is expected to stay at normal levels for the next 24 hours.
The solar wind speed slightly decreased, fluctuating between 310 and 370 km/s over the past 24 hours. The total magnetic field strength had values between 3 and 5 nT, while its Bz component varied between -4 and 4 nT. The interplanetary magnetic field phi angle changed to the positive sector (directed away from the Sun) at about June 23rd 12:30UT. Over the next 24 hours, solar wind condition can be expected to be at about the same or slightly elevated levels.
Geomagnetic conditions were at quiet to unsettled levels (NOAA Kp 0-2 and K Dourbes 0-3) over the past 24 hours. The are expected to remain at about those levels, with a slight chance of active conditions over the next 24 hours.
