Solar activity has been low over the past 24 hours. The northern and southern plage regions as well as Catania region 8 (NOAA 2835) are present on the eastern hemisphere. The solar activity is expected to remain at low levels, with a small change of C class flares over the next 24 hours.
No Earth-directed coronal mass ejections have been observed in the available coronagraphic imagery.
The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels in the past 24 hours, and is expected to stay at nominal levels in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux remained below the 1000 pfu alert threshold, where it is expected to remain during the next 24 hours. The 24h electron fluence was at nominal levels and is expected to remain so.
Over the past 24 hours the solar wind speed decreased, remaining under 400 km/s. The total magnetic field strength had values between 2 and 6 nT,while its Bz component varied between -5 and 5 nT. The interplanetary magnetic field phi angle was predominantly on the positive sector (directed away from the Sun). Over the next 24 hours, solar wind conditions are expected to remain at about those levels. A positive polarity northern coronal hole has crossed the central meridian. The associated high speed stream can be expected about June 30th.
Geomagnetic conditions were at quiet to unsettled levels (NOAA Kp 0-2 and K Dourbes 0-3) over the past 24 hours. Quiet conditions are expected over the next 24 hours.
