Solar activity was at very low levels. The dynamic, 20-degrees long filament is now located near N15W35. No earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) have been observed in available coronagraphic imagery. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal values. A negative polarity equatorial coronal hole is transiting the central meridian.
Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.
The earth environment has exited the wind stream from the positive polarity coronal hole (CH). Solar wind speed declined from 460 to 370 km/s (DSCOVR). Bz varied between -2 and +3 nT. The interplanetary magnetic field was directed mostly away from the Sun (positive sector) after 19:30UT. Geomagnetic activity was at quiet levels.
Mostly quiet geomagnetic conditions are expected, with a small chance on an isolated unsettled episode.
