Bulletin

The solar activity was quiet over the past 24 hours. No sunspot is visible on the solar disc facing Earth. The X-ray flux is below B-class level and the solar activity is expected to remain at low levels.

No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) were observed in the available coronagraphic imagery in the last 24 hours.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to stay at nominal levels for the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was between nominal and moderate levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to remain at nominal to moderate levels over the next 24 hours.

The solar wind parameters recorded near Earth (DSCOVR) show nominal values. The solar wind speed was slow and oscillated between 289 km/s and 345 km/s. The total interplanetary magnetic field was below 6 nT. The Bz magnetic field components fluctuated between -4.6 nT and +4.7 nT. The slow solar wind regime is expected to remain for the next days. Later, in about 2-3 days from now, slight enhancements of the solar wind conditions may occur in response to the influence of the solar wind associated with the elongated extension of the southern polar coronal hole (negative polarity) that was facing Earth on May 6.

Geomagnetic conditions were quiet, and quiet conditions are expected for the next following days.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 28 stations.
