Bulletin

Solar flaring activity was at very low levels. No significant flares have been recorded. Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.

No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) were observed in the available coronagraphic imagery.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels the past 24 hours. It is expected to remain so in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at nominal levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to stay at nominal levels for the next 24 hours.

The solar wind speed near Earth varied between 340 and 430 km/s (DSCOVR). The polarity of the Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) was predominantly oriented towards the Sun (phi angle in the negative sector). Bz fluctuated between -4 and +7 nT. The magnitude of the magnetic field varied between 3 and 10 nT. The coronal hole crossing central meridian June 27rd seems to have started dissipating. For the next 24 hours the solar wind speed is expected to remain on those levels, with slight possible enhancements, reflecting the influence of the current patchy solar disk.

The geomagnetic conditions were quiet to unsettled with an isolated active period, while the values registered for the past 24 hours were 1-4 for K Dourbes and 1-3 for NOAA Kp. Quiet to unsettled (K Dourbes = 3) geomagnetic conditions are expected for the next 24 hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 003, based on 18 stations.
