Bulletin

Solar activity is low and only several B-class flares were reported during last 24 hours. We do not expect change in the level of flaring activity in the coming hours. Coronagraph images do not show signatures of the Earth directed CMEs, and the solar protons remained at the background level.

The Earth is presently inside the slow solar wind with the speed of about 300 km/s and the interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is 4 nT. Equatorial coronal hole with the extend to the southern solar hemisphere (up to about 45 degrees south), reached central meridian yesterday morning. The associated increase of the solar wind speed might be expected in the mid day of April 19 (as modeled by EUHFORIA and ENLIL). The geomagnetic conditions are presently quiet and we expect them to stay so in the coming hours.
