The solar activity has been quiet over the past 24 hours. The visible solar disc is spotless and the X-ray flux is below B-level. The solar activity is expected to remain at low levels over the next 24 hours.
No Earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) was observed in the available coronagraph imagery.
The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to remain so for the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was below the 1000 pfu threshold in the past 24 hours and is expected to remain so during the next 24 hours. The 24h electron fluence is at normal levels in the last 24 hours and is expected to stay at normal levels for the next 24 hours.
The solar wind parameters (ACE and DSCOVR) were slightly enhanced due to the influence of the high-speed streams associated with small patchy equatorial coronal holes (in the south hemisphere, with negative polarity): The solar wind speed ranged between 335 km/s and 433 km/s . The interplanetary magnetic field magnitude reached 7.7 nT, and Bz components varied between -6.5 nT and 5.2 nT. The high-speed streams associated with the equatorial coronal hole (positive magnetic polarity and facing Earth on Mars 31) is expected to influence the solar wind conditions near Earth tomorrow, on April 2 and 3.
Geomagnetic conditions were quiet to unsettle (Kp and K-Dourbes: 1-3) due to the slight enhancement of the solar wind conditions. Quiet to unsettled conditions is expected to persist followed by possible periods of active conditions.
