Over the past 24 hours the solar activity was at low levels with one impulsive C-class flare. Active regions NOAA 2893 (alpha) and NOAA 2895 (beta) remained stable and inactive. Active region NOAA 2894 developed trailing spots and increased its underlying photospheric magnetic complexity from type alpha to type beta-gamma. It produced a C1.2-class flare (peak time 08:43 UTC on Nov 13th) and is expected to be the source of more C-class flaring over the next 24 hours.
No Earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
Over the past 24 hours the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels and is expected to remain so in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2MeV electron was under the 1000 pfu threshold and is expected to remain so for the next 24 hours. The 24h electron fluence was at nominal levels and is expected to remain so.
Over the past 24 hours the solar wind parameters (ACE and DSCOVR) remained at background slow solar wind conditions. The solar wind speed was rather steady with an average value of 357 km/s. The interplanetary magnetic field was weak with a maximum of 5.5 nT. The Bz component was very weak with a minimum value of -2.4 nT. The interplanetary magnetic was in the negative sector for the entire period. The solar wind parameters are expected to remain at background solar wind conditions over the next 24 hours.
The geomagnetic conditions over the past 24 hours were quiet and are expected to remain quiet with possible isolated unsettled periods.
