Informe actividad solar

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

Informe conjunto USAF/NOAA de actividad Solar y Geofísica

SDF Número 061 Publicado el 2200Z a las 02 MAR 1997

IA. Análisis de regiones solares activas y de actividad desde 01-2100Z hasta 02-2100Z

THE VISIBLE DISK REMAINED SPOTLESS AND SOLAR ACTIVITY REMAINED VERY LOW.
IB. Pronóstico de la actividad solar
SOLAR ACTIVITY SHOULD CONTINUE AT VERY LOW LEVELS FOR THE NEXT THREE DAYS.
IIA. Resumen de la actividad geofísica 01-2100Z a 02-2100Z
THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD BEGAN THE PERIOD WITH QUIET CONDITIONS. GENERALLY ACTIVE LEVELS WERE OBSERVED FROM 02/0300-1200Z. SOME HIGH LATITUDE SITES EXPERIENCED STORM CONDITIONS DURING THAT INTERVAL. THE FIELD RETURNED TO QUIET CONDITIONS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE PERIOD. WHEN COMPARED TO 01 MAR, SOLAR WIND VELOCITY DECREASED BY ABOUT 100 KM/S DURING THE PERIOD. ENERGETIC ELECTRON FLUXES AT GEOSYNCHRONOUS ORBIT WERE HIGH.
IIB. Pronóstico de la actividad geofísica
THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD IS FORECAST TO BE QUIET TO UNSETTLED FOR THE NEXT THREE DAYS. ISOLATED ACTIVE CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE DURING THAT TIME.
