Informe actividad solar

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

SDF Número 272 Publicado el 2200Z a las 29 SEP 1997

IA. Análisis de regiones solares activas y de actividad desde 28-2100Z hasta 29-2100Z

SOLAR ACTIVITY WAS LOW. REGION 8088 (S29W55) PRODUCED THE LARGEST FLARE OF THE PAST DAY, A C2/SF AT 29/1624Z. THIS REGION IS DECAYING SLOWLY. NEWLY NUMBERED REGION 8089 (N20W44) IS ASSOCIATED WITH EXTENSIVE SCATTERED PLAGE AND A LONG WINDING FILAMENT CHANNEL. TODAY'S 10.7 CM SOLAR FLUX VALUE (90 SFU) WAS MEASURED DURING A B6 X-RAY FLARE AND COULD BE ENHANCED ABOVE THE BACKGROUND LEVEL.
IB. Pronóstico de la actividad solar
SOLAR ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO BE LOW. ADDITIONAL C-CLASS FLARES ARE POSSIBLE IN REGION 8088.
IIA. Resumen de la actividad geofísica 28-2100Z a 29-2100Z
THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD RANGED FROM QUIET TO ACTIVE. THE GREATER THAN 2 MEV ELECTRON FLUX WAS MODERATE TO HIGH.
IIB. Pronóstico de la actividad geofísica
THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD IS EXPECTED TO BE QUIET TO UNSETTLED.
