Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

STRATWARM ALERT/SATURDAY/STRATWARM EXISTS.
AN INTENSE WARMING COVERS SIBERIA, THE POLAR REGION, ALASKA AND NORTH
CANADA/NORTHWEST GREENLAND AT 10-HPA LEADING TO A TEMPERATURE
INCREASE OF MORE THAN 30 DGS C IN A WEEK OVER NORTHWEST GREENLAND AT
10-HPA. THE COLDEST AIR DISPLACED TO SOUTH SCANDINAVIA.
TEMPERATURE GRADIENT REVERSED BETWEEN 60N AND THE POLE FROM 30-HPA
UPWARDS INTO THE UPPER STRATOSPHERE.
