Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

B. Eventos de Protones
The 10 MeV and 100 MeV proton events which began
late on 8 November are still in progress. The 100 MeV proton event
peaked at 347 pfu at 09/0350 UTC, declining to a current level of 13
pfu. The 10 MeV proton event peaked at 13,300 pfu at 09/1600 UTC
and has slowly declined to a current level of 2962 pfu.
C. Resumen de Actividad Geomagnética
The geomagnetic field was quiet to
active. Active conditions occurred during the 09/1500 - 1800 UTC
period. A polar cap absorption event was associated with the proton
event. Peak absorption was estimated to be 33 dB at 09/1640 UTC.
