Informe geofísico

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

C. Resumen de Actividad Geomagnética
The geomagnetic field ranged from active to severe storm conditions. An extended period of sustained southward Bz followed the shock observed at ACE early on 19 Mar. The geomagnetic storm was still in progress through the end of the period, but was showing signs of weakening. This disturbance is believed to be associated with the CME observed early on 16 Mar.
