Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

A greater than 10 MeV proton event began at 0655
UTC, reached maximum of 63 PFU at 0805 UTC, and ended at 1900 UTC. A
greater than 100 MeV proton event began at 0635 UTC, reached maximum
of 1.5 PFU at 0645 UTC, and ended at 0755 UTC.
