Informe actividad solar

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

Informe conjunto USAF/NOAA de actividad Solar y Geofísica

SDF Número 147 Publicado el 2200Z a las 26 May 2008

IA. Análisis de regiones solares activas y de actividad desde 25-2100Z hasta 26-2100Z

Solar activity was at very low levels. New Region 997 (S08W01) was numbered today. Region 997 is an Axx group in an alpha magnetic configuration and has two spots that were seen in white-light imagery.
IB. Pronóstico de la actividad solar
Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.
IIA. Resumen de la actividad geofísica 25-2100Z a 26-2100Z
The geomagnetic field was at predominately quiet levels. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit reached high levels again today.
IIB. Pronóstico de la actividad geofísica
The geomagnetic field is expected to be at mostly quiet levels for days one and two (27 and 28 May). Activity is expected to increase to quiet to unsettled levels with a chance for isolated active conditions on day three (29 May), due to a coronal hole high speed stream rotating into a geoeffective position.
