During last 24 hours the flaring activity was at the low C-class level, with an exception of the isolated M-class flare observed this morning. Majority of the flares (including the M-class flare) originated from the Catania sunspot group 36 (NOAA AR 1974). The impulsive M1.7 flare which peaked at 03:31 UT on February 11 was accompanied with an EIT wave and coronal dimmings. The currently available data do not show CME associated with this flare. We expect flaring activity on the C-level, with the possibility of an isolated M-class flare. The solar wind speed is currently around 450 km/s, and the interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is stable amounting about 6 nT. We expect quiet to unsettled (K<4) geomagnetic conditions in the coming hours.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 115, based on 12 stations.
