Bulletin

Solar activity was very low in the past 24 hours. No flares, no Earth-directed CMEs were observed. Three active regions are presently observed on the visible side of the solar disc. Their photospheric magnetic field configuration is simple. Solar proton flux intensity is expected to lie within the background levels. Solar activity is expected to be low with some probability for C-class flares. The Solar wind speed measured by DSCOVR and ACE continued to decline till 280 km/s (at 02:30 UT today) then it increased till 350 km/s (at 12:00 UT today) as the result of the sector boundary crossing. Simultaneously the magnitude of the Interplanetary Magnetic Field (Bt) has increased from 6 nT to 9 nT, while Bz has been mainly negative and decreased till -7 nT. There are currently no significant coronal holes on the solar disk that may influence the Earth. In the past 24 hours, geomagnetic conditions have been quiet (K Dourbes between 1 and 3; NOAA Kp between 1 and 2). Geomagnetic activity is expected to remain the low over the next 24 hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 029, based on 19 stations.
