Bulletin

No C flares were observed in the past 24 hours. No C flares are expected in the next 24 hours. Solar wind speed decreased from about 580 to 450 km/s in the past 24 hours as measured by DSCOVR. The magnitude of the Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) varied between about 1 and 5 nT. A further decrease in solar wind speed is expected over the next days. Quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions (K Dourbes between 1 and 3; NOAA Kp between 1 and 3) were registered in the past 24 hours. Quiet to unsettled levels (K Dourbes < 4) are expected on December 28, 29 and 30.
