Bulletin

Over the past 24 hours solar activity has been low. No significant flares have been recorded. No registered Active Regions (AR) are present on the disk. No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) have been detected. The greater than 10MeV proton flux remained at background levels over the past 24 hours. A low latitude coronal hole is currently located at low latitudes in the western hemisphere. Solar activity is expected to remain low over the next 24 hours with a low probability of C-class flares. The solar wind speed has fluctuated between 380 and 360 km/s over the past 24 hours. The total magnetic field strength has fluctuated between 3.0 nT and 4.5 nT. The Bz component was largely positive but turned negative this morning, fluctuating between -4 and +4 nT. Geomagnetic conditions ranged between Kp index 0-2 (NOAA) over the past 24 hours. A negative polarity northern polar coronal hole passed the central meridian a couple of days ago and may increase solar wind speeds later today, which may enhance Geomagnetic conditions.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 17 stations.
