Bulletin

The solar activity was quiet over the past 24 hours, with the GOES X-ray flux remaining below C-level. The bipolar sunspot group (Catania sunspot group 1, NOAA 2827) has decayed and a new sunspot region (not numbered) has rotated over the East limb in the South hemisphere. The solar activity is expected to remain mostly quiet.

No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) has been detected in the available coronagraph imagery.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to remain so for the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was below the 1000 pfu threshold in the past 24 hours and is expected to remain so during the next 24 hours. The 24h electron fluence was at normal levels in the last 24 hours and is expected to stay at normal levels for the next 24 hours.

The solar wind parameters (as observed by ACE and DSCOVR) showed an ambient background and slow solar wind speed regime. The solar wind speed ranged between 280 km/s to 300 km/s. The interplanetary magnetic field magnitude was below 3.5 nT, and Bz components varied between -3.0 nT and 2.2 nT. The high-speed stream associated with the equatorial coronal hole (that reached the central meridian on May 31) is expected to enhance the solar wind condition later today or tomorrow.

The geomagnetic conditions were quiet over the past 24 hours. The conditions may become more active with the arrival of the high-speed streams from the equatorial coronal hole (that reached the central meridian on May 31) later today or tomorrow.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 028, based on 19 stations.
