Bulletin

Over the past 24 hours, solar flaring activity has been very low, no C-class flares observed. There are three active regions on the disc, two of magnetic type alpha and one beta. There is an active region rotating into view from the east limb which may increase solar activity. For the next 24 hours, C-class flares are possible.

No Earth directed CMEs were detected in the past 24 hours.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels and is expected to remain so in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2MeV electron has been above the 1000 pfu threshold over the past 24 hours. It can be expected to remain elevated in the next 24 hours. The 24h electron fluence is at moderate levels, and is expected to remain so in the next 24 hours.

Over the past 24 hours, the solar wind speed decreased to around 450 km/s, with magnetic field values around 3 nT. Similar slow wind conditions are expected for the next 24 hours.

Over the past 24 hours, geomagnetic conditions were quiet to unsettled (Kp=K_BEL=3). Over the next 24 hours, similar conditions are expected.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 065, based on 23 stations.
