Bulletin

There are four active regions observed on the visible side of the solar disc. Solar activity is low with no C-class flares reported during last 24 hours. We expect solar activity to remain low, but C-class flares are still possible in the coming hours, in particular from NOAA AR 2574 and 2571 which presently have beta and beta-gamma configuration of their photospheric magnetic field. The filament eruption from the south-east quadrant, observed today at about 02:50 UT, was associated with rather narrow CME. No Earth directed CMEs were observed in the last 24 hours.

The Earth is still inside the fast solar wind with the average speed of about 650 km/s. The interplanetary magnetic field magnitude amounts about 5 nT. Due to several intervals of the negative value of the Bz component of the interplanetary magnetic field an interval of active geomagnetic conditions (K=4) was reported this morning by local station at Dourbes while NOAA reported only Kp=3. We expect unsettled to active geomagnetic conditions in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 079, based on 15 stations.
