Bulletin

Solar activity is low with no C-class flares reported during last 24 hours. All five active regions, presently observed on the visible side of the solar disc have simple configuration of their photospheric magnetic field (two have beta and three alpha configuration). We expect flaring on the B-class level with possible isolated C-class flares. No Earth directed CMEs were observed in the last 24 hours.

The solar wind speed is still slowly decreasing and it presently amounts about 460 km/s. The interplanetary magnetic field is stable and amounts about 3 nT. The fast solar wind associated with the low latitude coronal hole (between S15 and S35) which reached central meridian in the afternoon of August 11 might arrive at the Earth in the afternoon of August 14. The geomagnetic conditions are presently quiet, and we expect quiet to unsettled conditions in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 055, based on 20 stations.
