Bulletin

A spotless Sun resulted in X-ray flux remaining at background levels throughout the period. A single minor B flare originated from the remnants of Catania group 74 (NOAA 2624). X-ray flux is expected to remain at background levels over the next days. No Earth directed CME's have been observed in coronagraph data. Proton flux levels are at background levels and are expected to remain so.

Solar wind conditions have remained enhanced under the expected continued influence of the negative polarity coronal hole high speed stream. However, Solar wind speed only reached 600 km/s recently by the end of the period. Total magnetic field was in the 6.5-12nT range with Bz variable. Solar wind speed is still expected to increase over the next day and continued enhanced Solar wind conditions over the next days must be anticipated. Geomagnetic conditions were quiet to active (both local K Dourbes and NOAA Kp 1-4) and with the continued enhanced solar wind conditions further occurrences of active conditions and possibly minor storm levels are expected.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 20 stations.
