Bulletin

Solar activity was at very low levels. There is no sunspots on the visible side of solar disk. No earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) were observed in available coronagraphic imagery. Integral proton flux for protons with energies above 10 MeV remained at background level. Quiet flaring conditions are expected for the next 24 hours. From tomorrow solar activity is expected to increase due to the active region rotating into the filed of view. The earth environment is still under the influence of a positive polar CH that started its transit of the Central Meridian on 07 October. However, the solar wind speed decreased from about 700 km/s till 590 km/s over the past 24 hours. Total interplanetary magnetic filed (IMF) amplitude also decreased from 8 till 5 nT, while Bz was varying between 5 and -4 nT. Geomagnetic conditions were from minor storm till unsettled levels on planetary level and mainly on active levels locally in Dourbes. Mostly active geomagnetic conditions are expected for the next 24 hours with some probability of minor storming.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 20 stations.
