Bulletin

Over the past 24 hours solar activity has been low. There are currently no active regions on the solar disk. No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) have been detected. The greater than 10MeV proton flux remained at background levels over the past 24 hours. Solar activity is expected to remain very low over the next 24 hours. The solar wind speed has decreased from about 450 to 420 km/s over the past 24 hours. The total magnetic field strength has fluctuated around 6 nT. The Bz component fluctuated around 0 nT, ranging between -5 and +3 nT. Geomagnetic conditions ranged between Kp index 1-3 (NOAA) and local K index 1-3 (Dourbes) over the past 24 hours. Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be mainly unsettled today and tomorrow. Active geomagnetic conditions till minor storm may be expected from November 9 due to possible influences of the negative polarity coronal hole.
