Bulletin

The solar activity has been quiet over the past 24 hours. The X-ray flux remains below B-level, and the visible solar disc is spotless. Solar activity is expected to remain at low levels over the next 24 hours.

No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) has been detected in the available coronagraph imagery. The greater than 10 MeV solar protons flux remained at nominal levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to remain so.

Solar wind parameters showed the beginning of slow return towards an ambient background and slow solar wind speed regime. Solar wind speed decreased from 520 to near 425 km/s. Total interplanetary magnetic field strength remained below 5 nT. The Bz component underwent only weak deviations ranging between 3.6 nT and -3.5 nT. The solar wind parameters are expected to slowly decrease further today and tomorrow to reach the nominal levels.

The geomagnetic conditions have been mostly quiet with short intervals of K-Dourbes = 3 in the beginning of the period. The geomagnetic conditions are expected to remain quiet as the influence of the wind stream associated with the negative polarity equatorial coronal hole which began to traverse the central meridian on May 24 is fading away.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 24 stations.
