Bulletin

Solar X ray flux remained below B level throughout the period. There are no active regions on disk and X-ray flux is expected to remain at background levels.

No Earth-directed CME's were detected in coronagraph images.

Solar high energy proton fluxes were at background levels and are expected to remain so.

Solar wind conditions were near nominal with Solar wind speed mostly around 350 km/s and total magnetic field under 5nT. The magnetic field phi angle is still in the negative sector. Later today the magnetic field phi angle is expected to switch into the positive sector, then followed by early tomorrow an increase of the Solar wind speed as the recurrent high speed stream from the equatorial coronal hole (positive polarity) sets in. Speeds are expected to reach around 600 km/s.

Geomagnetic conditions were quiet (NOA Kp 0-1 and local K Dourbes 0-2). Geomagnetic conditions are expected to rise by early tomorrow, associated to the high speed stream, reaching unsettled to active conditions tomorrow, with a slight possibility of an isolated minor geomagnetic storm episode.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 13 stations.
