Solar X-ray flux remained below B level. There are no spotted regions on disk and Solar flaring is expected to remain below C level over the next days.
There were no Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) observed in the available coronagraphic imagery.
The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to stay at nominal levels. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at nominal levels the past 24 hours. An slight increase of the electron flux over the next days may be expected associated to ongoing slightly elevated Solar wind conditions.
Solar wind speed increased at the start of the period to 400 km/s climbing to a peak of 500km/s just after midnight and remaining around 460 km/s since. The phi angle showed that the magnetic field was mostly towards the Sun. All of this seems indicative of the expected influence of the extension of the southern polar coronal hole. Total magnetic field decreased steadily from over 10nT to under 5nT. Bz was variable but reached a peak down to -9nT yesterday afternoon. Solar wind speed is expected to remain slightly enhanced over the next days, possibly seeing also the influence of an isolated equatorial coronal hole of positive polarity. After 48 hours Solar wind conditions should return to nominal.
Geomagnetic conditions were mostly quiet to unsettled (local K Dourbes and NOAA Kp 1-3) with just one isolated active period (NOAA Kp 4 for the 15-18UT period). Geomagnetic conditions may see further isolated active episodes over the next days as Solar wind conditions are expected to remain slightly enhanced.
