Bulletin

The two active regions (ARs) visible on the disk NOAA AR 2778 and 2779 have decayed further and not produced any C-class flares. Two new ARs are rotating into view over the east limb. C-class flares are possible.

No Earth directed CME was observed in the past 24 hours.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels over the past 24 hours. It is expected to stay at background levels for the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electrons are above the 10^3 pfu threshold. The electrons are expected to descend below the threshold.

The speed of the solar wind has been fairly constant around 430 km/s in the past 24 hours. Bz was never below -5 nT and B reached 6 nT. The solar wind speed is expected to remain low over the next 24 hours.

The geomagnetic conditions reached only unsettled levels both locally and planetary (Kp = 3 and KDourbes = 3). The CME from 26 October can arrive to the Earth tomorrow and cause up to active conditions. Otherwise quiet conditions expected in the next 24 hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 025, based on 19 stations.
