No active regions visible on the Sun. No flares observed, nor expected.

No Earth directed CMEs in the past 24 h. Solar protons have remained at background levels over the past 24 hours.

The solar wind speed is at 500 km/s with interplanetary magnetic field magnitude of 5 nT. Mostly quiet to unsettled conditions (K and Kp = 1 - 3) were observed in the past 24 h, with one period of active conditions (K and Kp = 4, at midnight). The solar wind speed has been increasing steadily since yesterday, due to the influence of solar wind streams from small patchy negative polarity equatorial coronal holes. Mostly unsettled conditions, with possible active periods, expected for the next 48 h.
