Informe actividad solar

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

SDF Número 122 Publicado el 2200Z a las 02 May 2002

IA. Análisis de regiones solares activas y de actividad desde 01-2100Z hasta 02-2100Z

Solar activity was low. Only a few small C-class flares occurred. Region 9934 (S18E62) is the largest and probably the most magnetically complex sunspot group on the disk. The region appears to contain some mixed polarities, and possibly a delta configuration, but is still too close to the limb for certainty. New Regions 9935 (S18E33) and 9936 (S15E42) were numbered.
IB. Pronóstico de la actividad solar
Solar activity is expected to be low to moderate. C-class events are possible from a number of regions. Region 9934 appears to be the most capable of M-class activity.
IIA. Resumen de la actividad geofísica 01-2100Z a 02-2100Z
The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled.
IIB. Pronóstico de la actividad geofísica
The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet to unsettled.
