Bulletin

The solar disk remained spotless and the solar activity was at very low levels. No significant flares have been recorded in the past 24 hours and none are expected over the next 24 hours.

No Earth-directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) were observed in the available coronagraph imagery.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels in the past 24 hours, and is expected to remain so in the next 24 hours. Over the past 24 hours the greater than 2 MeV electron flux remained above the 10^3 pfu threshold and is expected to remain elevated over the next 24 hours.

Over the past 24 hours the solar wind conditions recorded by ACE and DSCOVR remained elevated. The total interplanetary magnetic field varied between 1.6 nT and 5 nT with a weak north-south component fluctuating between -5 nT and 4 nT. In the past 24 hours the solar wind speed remained high with values ranging between 550 km/s and 640 km/s. The solar wind conditions are expected to remain enhanced over the next 24 hours as the influence of the high speed stream starts to wane by tomorrow afternoon.

The geomagnetic conditions over the past 24 hours registered two active intervals with maximum recorded NOAA Kp and K Dourbes indices equal to 4. Unsettled to active conditions are expected for the next 24 hours, while isolated periods of minor geomagnetic storms remain possible.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 20 stations.
