BEEN ENHANCED SINCE APPROXIMATELY 09/1200 UT. FLUX LEVELS APPROACHED
10 PFU AFTER 2000 UT BUT PROTON EVENT CRITERIA WERE NOT MET.

THE ENERGETIC ELECTRON FLUENCE AT GEOSYNCHRONOUS ORBIT WAS MODERATE. SOHO EIT AND LASCO IMAGES INDICATED THAT TODAY'S M7 X-RAY EVENT ORIGINATED FROM BEHIND THE WEST LIMB NEAR THE LOCATION OF DEPARTED REGION 8210, THEN NEAR S15W98.
