Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

REGIONS 8675 (N21E75) AND 8676 (N26E72) WERE NUMBERED.

SOLAR ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO BE LOW
TO MODERATE. REGION 8674 APPEARS THE MOST CAPABLE FOR PRODUCING AN
M-CLASS EVENT.

THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD RANGED FROM PREDOMINANTLY UNSETTLED TO ACTIVE
WITH ONE PERIOD OF MINOR STORM CONDITIONS FROM 24/1200-1500Z. SINCE
THERE IS NO READILY DISCERNABLE SINGLE SOURCE, SEVERAL FACTORS MAY
HAVE COMBINED TO CAUSE THE INCREASED LEVEL IN GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY
DURING THE PERIOD.
