Geophysical report
Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

B. Proton Events
The greater than 10 MeV protons are slowly rising
following today's M5 flare. The max flux was 5 pfu at the time of
issue.
C. Geomagnetic Activity Summary
The geomagnetic field ranged from
quiet to minor storm levels. Solar wind parameters indicated the
arrival of new CME material at the ACE spacecraft early this period.
Extended periods of southward IMF Bz and solar wind speeds exceeding
600 km/s resulted in active to minor storm conditions at all
latitudes.
