Solar activity report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

Solar activity was very low. No significant flares were observed during the past 24 hours.

Solar activity is expected to be very low.
IIA. Geophysical Activity Summary 04-2100Z to 05-2100Z
The geomagnetic field was quiet to active. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels today.
IIB. Geophysical Activity Forecast
The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet to active, with isolated minor storm periods possible on 06 September as a recurrent coronal hole moves into a geoeffective position. Expect quiet to unsettled conditions with isolated active periods possible at high latitudes on 07 September. Quiet to unsettled conditions will prevail on 08 September.
