Solar activity report
Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

Geomagnetic field activity was at quiet levels. The solar wind speed
has increased from 290 to 380 Km/sec due to a coronal hole high
speed stream. The Bz has ranged from -5 to +7nT.

Geomagnetic field activity is
expected to be quiet to unsettled for day one (21 March). Activity
will return to quiet for days two and three (22-23 March).
