Bulletin

Three sunspot groups were reported by Catania today, with numbers 33, 35 and 34 (corresponding to NOAA ARs 1793, 1800 and NOAA H-alpha plage 1799 respectively). No C-class flares were reported during the last 24 hours, but C-flares remain probable in Catania sunspot groups 33 and 35, with a weak chance for an M-class flare. An equatorial coronal hole reached the solar central meridian today. The fast solar wind stream from this coronal hole is expected to arrive at the Earth on July 25. The Earth is currently inside a slow (around 400 km/s) solar wind flow with weak to average (around 3-4 nT) interplanetary magnetic field magnitude. We expect quiet geomagnetic conditions in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 037, based on 13 stations.
