Bulletin

NOAA AR 1800 turns over the west limb, out of view. The region produced 2 C-class flares yesterday, July 29. NOAA AR 1801 (Catania 38) flared once in the C-level today, July 30. C-flares are possible the coming day, but in general the X-ray flaring activity is limited. The geomagnetic conditions are quiet at the moment: speed 400 km/s, interplanetary magnetic field of 5nT. The Bz component is negative at the moment. If this stays so for a longer time, unsettled geomagnetic conditions can occur. From July 2, Earth can be situated in the fast solar wind stream emanating from the norther coronal hole which passed today the central meridian.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 053, based on 11 stations.
