Bulletin

Over the past 24 hours solar activity has been very low. No significant flares have been recorded. No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) have been detected. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background levels over the past 24 hours. Quiet flaring conditions are expected to continue. The solar wind speed has increased from around 350 to 425 km/s over the past 24 hours. The total magnetic field strength has fluctuated around 7 nT. The Bz component fluctuated between -5 and +7 nT, but has been mainly positive. Geomagnetic conditions ranged between Kp index 0-3 (NOAA) and local K index 0-4 (Dourbes) over the past 24 hours. There are a couple of small coronal holes located in the Western hemisphere which may create small enhancements in the solar wind. Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be quiet to unsettled.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 22 stations.
