Bulletin

Solar activity remains at the extremely low level, without any flares reported during last 24 hours. We do not expect the change of the level of the solar activity in the coming hours. No Earth directed CMEs have been observed and the solar protons remained at background level in the past 24 hours.

The Earth is still within the slow solar wind with the wind speed fluctuating between 350 and 430 km/s. The interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is presently about 6nT. The equatorial coronal hole, with the large extent to the both northern and southern hemispheres, reached the central meridian this morning. We can expect arrival of the associated fast solar wind on the May 15. Presently the geomagnetic conditions are quiet, we expect quiet to unsettled conditions in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 008, based on 23 stations.
