No C-class flares in past 24 h. Only one active region remains visible (NOAA AR 2686, Catania 61) with alpha magnetic field configuration. The X-ray flux is expected to remain below C level.
No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) have been detected. Solar protons have remained at background levels over the past 24 h.
Geomagnetic conditions have been quiet (k = 1-2). Solar wind speed is very low, now at 285 km/s with interplanetary magnetic fields of 3 nT. A sector boundary crossing (going from positive to negative polarity) was observed yesterday around 20:00 UT. Therefore, the high speed solar wind stream from a negative polarity low latitude coronal hole (southern hemisphere) can be expected later today. Active to minor storm geomagnetic conditions foreseen.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 21 stations.
