Bulletin

Solar activity was low, no C-class flares in past 24 h. There is only one region visible on disk (Catania group 67, NOAA active region 2692) with beta magnetic field configuration. C-class flaring is possible although not very likely.

Proton flux levels are at background values and are expected to remain so. No Earth-directed seems occurred.

Solar wind speed is at 480 km/s with interplanetary magnetic field magnitude of 6 nT. The influence of the high speed stream from a coronal hole is fading. It produced only unsettled levels at planetary levels (Kp up to 3) and isolated active conditions locally at Dourbes (KDourbes up to 4). The coronal hole has irregular shape and is divided in two parts, the southern part (extension of the southern polar coronal hole) may still influence the Earth within 48 h. Quiet to active conditions can be expected.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 024, based on 07 stations.
